THE LEGION OF DANGER

America, in the 1960's, was a powerful and wealthy country. It also had its enemies. Protected by the FBI, CIA, National Security Agency, The Secret Service and a number of other vigilant groups, many working invisibly and unheralded Liberty and freedom survived in America thanks to these stalwart sentinels of justice. The job they did was dangerous, and the sacrifices they made were great. But the some of the most dangerous missions required a special breed of man with superhuman stamina, animal cunning and all the right moves.

The Legion Of Danger was a secret confederation of professional wrestlers, all wearing masks that hide their identities. Sworn guardians of truth, justice, and the American way, they appear when evil threatens and danger looms.

Assembled by secret, presidential decree, and operating as "secret agents" under the guise of professional, globetrotting sportsmen, these dreadnaughts came at America's threats and dangers like a bullet from a gun.

The Legionnaires were afraid of no one. Even death. For them, to die in battle was the highest honor. They took on all comers: gangsters, spies, madmen, terrorists, monsters, vampires, saucer men, werewolves, mummies, and ghostly apparitions. They even sometimes fight amongst each other. But their archenemy is a rival group of evil wrestlers called the Dark Alliance.

SKELETON ISLAND

Skeleton Island is the secret headquarters of the Legion.

Swift, deadly currents surround Skeleton Island, along with shark-infested waters and layers of nets and mines. The bridge to the island is broken, and only a supercharged racecar driven with skill and tremendous speed can jump the bridge and reach the other side.

On the island there's a castle. The castle has secret panels, underground tunnels, and a great hall where the Legionnaires meet, with also a docking area, an arsenal, and an aerodrome containing numerous specialized and experimental aircraft-along with a squadron of the F-86 Sabre jets the Legion flies.

Alongside the airstrip is a graveyard-the graveyard of the fallen legionnaires. It is located there as a constant reminder to every legionnaire of the death they will face every time they take off on a mission. It is a reminder that the Legionnaires never leave a man behind. It is a reminder that they will all meet there someday-together forever into eternity.
